The facility at Hemel Hempstead manufactures trace detection equipment based on Ion Mobility Spectrometry technology and products such as the Ionscan 600 and the Lightweight Chemical Detector have an excellent reputation for performance and reliability in worldwide use.
- In this role, you will ensure all external /internal and returns orders are managed correctly factory. You must ensure an accurate demand plan and SIOP for all Smiths Detection factories by analysing and driving corrective actions. The role is responsible for the reliability of demand used for factory planning, driving a reductionDuties and Responsibilities(include, but not limited to)
- Manage the adherence to the original promise date agreed at order acceptance.
- Root cause analysis for any changes to Material Availability Date (MAD) within the agreed timeframe.
- Achievement of On Time Delivery (OTD) and inventory turns targets for the business.
- Overall responsibility for operational trade and compliance ensuring all relevant documentation (EUCs/Export licenses/Import Permits/Credit Terms) are in position before the equipment is ready to ship.
- Coordination and entry of customer sales orders/STO and RMA into SAP
- Manage timely creation of, order acknowledgements, delivery notes for sales orders/STO and RMA and invoices.
- Ensure up front order information check lists are maintained in advance of order being loaded to SAP with MAD.
- Working in partnership with the planning team to ensure successful execution of production plan.
- Be part of a culture of continuous improvement.
- Verify sales orders are received as per quotations: Ensure terms, configuration, pricing and part numbers are all correct prior to entry into SAP.
- Correctly enter Programme orders to ensure milestone billing and segregation of product and service line items.
- Update Sales orders in SAP in the event of changes.
- Keep Customers and Sales managers aware of any changes / delays in delivery dates
- Provide return materials authorisation ( RMA) to coordinate the customer return of goods
- Enter repair orders and sales orders Produce return documentation to customer
- Maintain records of status of repair or to generate new repair orders.
- Prepare and distribute quotations for products and service activity.
- Experience of SAP or other ERP/MRP products is essential
- Great people skills
- Energetic, results oriented, driven individual.
- Experience of working in an SIOP driven business including participation in the monthly SIOP cycle.
- An understanding of the Operational Trade and Compliance laws that govern the business
- Selfmotivated, proactive, punctual, shows attention to detail, adaptable
- Understanding of Material Requirements Planning and the levers that drive the business
- Be able to analyse revenue reports and update with the latest information available from Programmes, Service & Logistics
- Good IT skills, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, Word are essential.
- Excellent team worker, able to work with mínimal supervision to deliver to deadlines
