Description

Our client is an award winning Engineering Consultancy looking for a Utilities Support Technician to support the Utilities Coordinator with their duties.

These duties are an integral part of ensuring that each project has the correct utility connectionsto the building such as electric, comms, gas, and water.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Reviewing the information provided by the client, the design team and the internal team concerning proposed
  • Construction projects ranging from residential, commercial to mixed use schemes.
  • You will receive and interpret the utility requirements prepared by the design engineers within the company and
  • Liaise with them to make sure the project requirements are understood prior to engaging with the utility
  • Companies to obtain their relevant quotations and designs.
  • Support the engineers in assessing the impact of the proposed development upon the existing utility services and
  • Support the engineers in reviewing the returned information from the utility companies and assessing the impact
  • On the project.
  • Liaising with engineers, utility companies, and internal members of the team across all levels. The role
  • May also require you to liaise with external clients from time to time.
  • Organising and managing the active task list, covering all live projects.
  • Managing your workload to ensure client requirements and key milestones are met.
  • Attending internal project meetings.
  • Being flexible within the role as there is a wide and varied scope.

Skills and Attributes:


  • Previous experience in a problemsolving environment.
  • Able to prioritise and manage own workload, adapting to changing requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communicator, be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary project team as well as on your own initiative.
  • Selfmotivated, enthusiastic, and wellcoordinated.
  • Ability to deal with challenges calmly and with resilience.
  • The ability to understand and read compliance documents.

37 hours per week - Flexi working available
