ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a 12 months fixed term position


Our Demand Planners are a key part of our retail team providing accurate, consolidated Retail forecast for both finished and bulk production.

This role will help in leading the demand planning & fulfilment process in line with Business key metrics and sales commitments.

Analysing both internal and external data systems, this role will support and improve our commercial capabilities and also build effective relationships with our customers and 3rd party suppliers.

This role requires the ability to recognise and react appropriately to supply challenges, both internally and externally. You'll also

  • Take ownership of the Customer Retail Sales base volume forecast. Create insight and action identifying opportunities and plans to ensure maximum efficiencies and accuracy
  • Manage the escalation process of any breakdowns / issues to the wider business and with support from the Demand Planning Manager and develop recovery plans and best in class mitigation solutions
  • Attend daily Demand & Supply sessions to drive service to all our customers and manage delivery of key metrics including accuracy of production plans and waste
  • Liaise closely with Supply both McCain and external partners to understand supply performance and champion customer requirements
  • Develop and nurture effective Customer relationships with the key stakeholders within our key Customer group
  • Lead the Customer agenda from a Demand perspective and develop customer plans to improve effectiveness and efficiencies for McCain and our Customers
  • Work together with Customer managers to deliver best in class customer service
  • Provide unwavering focus in the search for supply chain efficiencies both internally and externally

ABOUT YOU
We'd love to hear from you if you've got experience in demand planning or similar position. This role requires a strong attention to detail and analytical skills. You'll also have

  • A good understanding of forecasting
  • Comfortable with planning software
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Teams
  • Strong analytic background in order to identify and resolve stock issues quickly
  • Stakeholder management skills and strong communication methods

WHERE WILL I WORK?
Our HQ is based in Scarborough, North Yorkshire

However, being in the office every single day is a thing of the past. Here at McCain, we champion hybrid working.

This means we don't have a set expectation of exactly when you need to be in the office - however we would like to see you on a weekly basis as that's the best place for us to build and maintain our connections.
