ABOUT THE ROLE.
We have ambitious growth business plans at McCain, but we can't achieve those without our people.

Our HR team play a huge part in driving our winning culture and it's the role of our HR Specialist to get under the skin of the people behind the potatoes.

As HR Specialist it's your job to work alongside your fellow HR Specialists and our people leaders across our plants (especially Wombourne, Grantham and Whittlesey) to make McCain a great place to work.

This covers many elements of HR including recruitment, and day-to-day HR Employee Lifecycle processes and compliance.

Reporting in to the HR Delivery Manager, you will also

  • Support our leaders and employees with employee and labour relations issues (which may include conducting investigations, managing appeals, addressing misconduct, issuing discipline, suspension and/or termination)
  • Manage employee movement and contract management. Including the updating of personal information
  • Share insights and trends with key stakeholders to drive more effective and efficient HR service delivery
  • Ensure the employee experience is at the centre of everything you doidentify, and implement Continuous Improvement activities, to enhance our HR Processes.

We are a team of connectedness - which means you will create impactful relationships between HR Specialists and our Global Employee Experience Centre to provide a world-class service to our employees.

And because we have a one-team approach you will also have the opportunity to 'chip in' and partner with other departments outside of your normal business areas.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in HR. We have a clear career path to HR Business Partner with opportunities locallyand globally. The 'fries' the limit at McCain

ABOUT YOU.

You'll be a HR generalist ideally with experience in a manufacturing environment (FMCG would be advantageous) You'll have a continuous improvement mindset who can challenge the status quo and drive improvement initiatives.

You will also have

  • A professional HR qualification although we would prefer someone to have experience due to the complexities of a FMCG manufacturing plant
  • Proven Employee Relations experience
  • Experience of building relationships at different levels
  • Experience of working at pace in a high pressured, and demanding environment
  • Strong recruitment experience, recruiting at pace and volume
  • Good administrational skills with a knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel
  • The ability to work well on your own and as part of a team

WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?
You'll be pleased to know we don't pay you in 'chips'.

As well as a competitive salary we also have some 'a-peeling' benefits including:

  • A great pension plan — and we'll pay double what you do, up to a maximum of 12% of your pay
  • Flexible holidays — with the option to buy & sell up to 5 extra days per year
- 'Chips In' Volunteering Day Off — to make a positive impact in McCain communities across the globe

  • Optional health cash plan
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Opportunities to relocate in the future — we're a worldwide business, so the opportunities are there for those who seek them

WHERE WILL I WORK?
