Description

You will play an active role in producing conforming product, on time and in full for our customers. Progression opportunities include expanding your skills over time to become multi-skilled across both injection moulding and extrusion. This is suitable for an individual wanting progression in to a more technical role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carry out daily machine safety checks and report any faults
Ensure that machine start up, restart and shut down processes are followed
Assist with tool changes including; tool preparation, cleaning, material preparation
Ensure that machines have sufficient material
Operating, control and monitoring of jobs running
Take part in fault finding and problem solving of production processes
Carry out effective housekeeping, machine and ancillary planned maintenance
An exposure to automation, including 6axis and collaborative robots

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

You will have achieved 5 GCSEs including; English and Mathematics (Grade 4 or above), or equivalent
IT skills would be an advantage
Completion of a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Engineering/BIT would be an advantage
You will have a problem solving mindset and ability to communicate within a team environment
A conscientious attitude to work and willingness to learn
Own transport is required due to shift work
Energy, with an eagerness to learn, progress and develop is essential

HOURS:

You will be employed to work 40 hours per week on the nightshift. A typical night shift would be 8 hours between 22.00 and Regular breaks are provided. You will be expected to take a flexible approach to working variable shifts depending on demand.
