This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced injection moulding setter with ambitions to progress, to join our growing Group of Companies.

The setter role is vital and busy role within the moulding department and we look to them to effect change and drive improvements within our business.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The main focus is on completing efficient changes, setting and conditioning of tools along with numerous other responsibilities including;

  • Undertaking tool changes as per production plan, including but not limited to, tool preparation, clean hoppers, material preparation
  • Show confidence to adjust & improve moulding conditions
  • Set up and programme robots
  • Set up of ancillary equipment, such as water temp controllers, oil heaters, vacuum material loaders, etc
  • Set up and run automation cells
  • Ensure company health & safety policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Carry out shift handover
  • Fault finding and problem solving of development and production processes
  • Ensure machines have sufficient material
  • Data collection and recording using paper and cloud based systems
  • Supporting a variety of mouldshop activities in a team environment
This role is measured by scrap rates and downtime which are directly linked to our employee bonus scheme


SPECIFICATIONS:

The person we are looking for will be a dynamic and experienced setter from the injection moulding industry with the following attributes:

  • Minimum technical qualification of IMT2 or equivalent
  • Overhead crane licence is essential
  • FLT Licence is desirable (training can be provided)
  • Knowledge of a variety of materials,
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing SMED
  • Driven by success and appreciates the importance to get things right first time
  • Confidently offers and implements ideas for improvements
  • Problem solving experience
  • Analytical and data driven approach to minimising waste
  • Ability to coach and support apprentices
  • A selfstarter with ambition and a thirst for learning

HOURS:

You will be employed to work hours per week. You will be expected to work variable shifts depending on demand. A typical shift would be 8 hours between 06.00 and 14.00 /14.00 and rotating shifts). Regular breaks are provided. A flexible approach to working additional hours on nights or at weekends is requested.
