BANK RECONCILIATION ADMINISTRATOR (JOB NUMBER:
BRA-LD-0123)
Are you available immediatley and looking for your next 3-6 month role? On a Fixed Term Contract basis, this is job requires you to take sole responsibility for several bank reconciliations between bank statements and the general ledger
Key Responsibilities:
- To carry out selected daily bank reconciliations
- Preparing Journals for all allocated Companies for respective bank accounts
- Load banking teams journals.
- Downloading Barclays, RBOS Bank Statements on a daily basis.
- Reconciliation and load of policy claims payments into ledger
- Clearing any outstanding entries on the Bank Reconciliations on a monthly basis, liaising with other departments where necessary.
- Dealing with bank personnel with issues relating to BACS payment rejections, unpaid Direct Debits, failed payments and stopping cheques.
- To carry out ad hoc duties relating to the Operations section of Finance as determined by the Manager
Key skills:
- Comfortable working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines
- The ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
- Sound organisational skills and prioritisation skills
- Experience of process improvements in a Finance environment
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel including pivot tables
- Good communication skills (verbal & written) and to work closely with other departments.
- Good problem solving skills, time management and attention to detail
Person Specification:
Essential
- Book keeping and understand double entry
.
Desirable
- Previous experience in a similar role within the insurance industry
- Some experience of data analysis
- Sound book keeping experience
