Electrical Wireman/Woman

MAC International are the UK's largest independent ISO 9001 certified independent manufacturer of bespoke static pressure washers which are produced at our North East headquarters in Darlington, Co Durham.

Purpose of Role:

Due to the continued growth of the company, we are looking to recruit a panel wireman/ women in the assembly of our control boards.

Summary of Responsibilities and Requirements for the Role:

Responsibilities:

Assembling and wiring control panels to circuits to a high standard
Wiring and fitting assemblies to circuits to a high standard
Fitting and assembly of control panel boxes
Control panel and cabinet wiring
Soldering, crimping and an understanding of electrical drawings / schematics
Panel modification and installation
Ensure full accountability and traceability of stock components

Requirements for The Role:

Electrical wiring and assembly with knowledge of and experience in the following

Essential Experience

Experience with wiring boards
Experience with PLC control systems is desirable but not essential
Ability to read wiring diagrams
Wiring / Panel Wiring, Termination of singles wires
Electrical subassembly
Soldering skills
Crimping, heat shrinking, cable and wire cutting
Electrical wiring installation
Understanding of low voltage cables and wires
Ability to work to production deadlines
Understand the need for good quality control, both selfassessed and across production in general
Have good attention to detail
Be methodical in approach to completing assigned tasks
Team worker
Have knowledge of how a production environment works
Understand health and safety in the workplace and the responsibilities of both employee and employer
Ensure correct personal protective equipment is always used by all staff
Maintain a very high standard of housekeeping
