Who we are:

We're ICAS - a global professional membership organisation and business network for Chartered Accountants. We're an educator, regulator, assessor, and a professional awarding body. Our smart and talented team comes from all walks of life.

With a relaxed dynamic and a collaborative spirit, we take care of each other while supporting a vibrant, global membership.

We're proud of the difference we can make to a profession that's transforming to meet the urgent environmental and social challenges of our changing world and committed to improving the quality of our education, assessment, and student experience.

What's the job?

Key responsibilities:

  • Being fully prepared and immersed in the relevant course content to ensure it is delivered at the appropriate level, with context and meeting the needs of the learner.
  • Supporting learners, providing advice and guidance as they progress through the CA qualification.
  • Understanding the differing needs of learners and adapting approach and style to suit.
  • Enhancing and developing our student's professional knowledge and skills, through a collaborative teaching style and the facilitation of workshops and learner presentations.

Who do we need?

We're looking for a Chartered Accountant (or relevant equivalent Level 11 Masters/Level 7 apprenticeship), with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage your students and present/facilitate workshops with confidence, clarity, and purpose.

You must have a passion and enthusiasm for delivery with a focus on quality and learner outcomes.

You'll have a proactive and adaptable approach to continuous learning both for your own personal development and to ensure you stay relevant and to encourage our students' growth mindset and support their future professional career success.

Ideally, you'll be an experienced accountant and while teaching, presenting or internal learning & development in your professional background is advantageous, this is not essential as full training will be provided.

Experience in programme delivery within a learning function of a professional body, training provider, or higher education, is desirable, as is being familiar with online delivery options (for example, Microsoft Teams, adobe connect, Kahoot, Menti).

Where is the job?

We currently deliver in Edinburgh (Head Office), Glasgow, Aberdeen and online, so whilst you don't necessarily need to be based in these cities, you'll need to be willing and able to travel when required.

Contract base location will be Edinburgh or Glasgow.

ICAS places equality, diversity, and inclusion at the heart of all that we do. With our partner organisations, we're committed to building a diverse membership and workforce that is beneficial for all, and that enables our communities to learn, grow and advance together.
