Full time 37.5 hrs Mon-Fri (based at The Showroom, Tritton Road)

The person in this role will carry out general HR duties across the YMCA. They will report into the Director of People to deliver a high quality human resource business partnering.

To manage and deliver recruitment and training ensuring the delivery of an efficient, effective, consistent and customer-focused HR service to, current and prospective employees.

To provide advice and guidance in conjunction with the Director of People on:

  • Implementing policies and processes
  • Develop and constantly improve the communication of the HR processes and procedures to ensure that they are clearly and widely understood and consistently used.
  • Ensure that HR is delivering regular communication and training organisationally
  • Work with the Director of People to devise, implement & embed a positive high performing culture

Culture

  • Champion and oversee cultural integration across the organisation, ensuring fit for
purpose solutions for our teams and the organisation as a whole

  • Cultivate an organisational culture that promotes exceptional talent, achievement and a
high performance whilst maintaining a culture of wellbeing


Wellbeing

  • Work with the Director of People to define the wellbeing strategy, objectives and success measures for YMCA Lincolnshire, working closely with the wider HR team and employee forum to provide insight and ensure alignment and fit of wellbeing initiatives to the wider YMCA Lincolnshire cultural strategy.
  • Strategically contribute to policy revisions, reward and recognition & benefits plan as a means of creating a culture of caring and work life balance.

Diversity & Inclusion

  • Work closely with internal Just Lincolnshire personnel to ensure an open and supportive environment and a clear commitment to EDI.
  • Assist in initiatives, training and resources

Employee Value Proposition and Employee Engagement

  • Define the EVP and employee engagement strategy, objectives and success measures
  • Measure and track EVP progress and alignment by working with the employee forum to gain insights.
  • Promote the EVP (culture and values) across the organisation through activities,mindset and engagement at all levels.
  • Relationship and Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong relationships with employees and Managers at all levels
  • Liaise with Senior Leaders and Leadership to ensure they are aligned with the overall cultural values and be willing to challenge these individuals where necessary toarrive at the best outcome for the Charity
  • Measure benefit impact through cultural engagement surveys, staff retention and absence factors and use insights proactively to feed into continuous improvement.

Innovation

  • Stay abreast of the latest developments, best practices and trends in Culture,Wellbeing, D&I etc.
  • Attend relevant training courses, workshops, meetings and seminars as required.
  • Provide engaging training and resources to the team.
Other duties deemed to fall into the remit of this role and commensurate with the post.


Essential Requirements
Willingness to learn and grow professionally. To be a motivated and positive member of the department

  • CIPD qualified and registered with CIPD as Level 5 or higher /or equivalent qualification and experience
  • High level Administrative and organisational skills
  • Experience in a generalist HR role/ or specialist culture/well being role
  • Delivering training and other learning interventions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive
  • Ability to advise and support managers and staff with challenging HR issues, presenting with self
- confidence.

  • Positively influence others to follow good HR policy and practice
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships; excellent interpersonal skills with the abil
