Based at our Media Hub in Chippenham, Wiltshire. 3- 4 days a week onsite in the office/studio.
The role of Video Creator is a brand-new role for Exceptional, Saga's media arm.
The role is suitable for someone who's used to working in a fast-paced environment filming and editing brilliant videos to be used across a range of platforms such as YouTube, Facebook or TikTok.
As a Video Creator you'll be working with the rest of our video team to film, direct and edit video ready for distribution across Saga Exceptional's range of platforms.
You'll be working with our presenters and supported by the rest of the team to create work you can be proud of for an underserved and underrepresented audience.
At Saga, we're building a ground-breaking media business, and we need exceptional people to join us at this early stage and help shape our proposition.
The role of Creator is a new position within the Exceptional video team and is part of our strategy to grow Saga into a superbrand.
You'll be tasked with delivering on our video strategy, and will be working with our presenters to film, direct and edit video ready for upload to a range of platforms.
You will be working in a fast-paced environment where we will be delivering loads of content on a weekly basis, but you'll be well supported by the rest of the team.
If you've experience of working in a high-volume creative role, where deadlines are tight and turnaround is fast then we want to see your portfolio We're not producing highly storyboarded TV or film content, we're creating high quality videos that resonate with our audience, so you'll enjoy a fast pace of production which still delivers great content.

Main Responsibilities
- You will be reporting to the our producer, as part of the Audience Platforms and Insight team. The key areas of responsibilities are;
- Filming, directing and editing video content
- Ensuring videos are delivered according to the schedule
- Assisting with content planning
- Helping to schedule shoots in a time efficient way
- Working with the Archive Manager to maximise the use of assets
- Ideally, you'll have worked in or with a media business creating high volume of video content
- Some experience of motion graphics would be useful, but isn't essential
- Creation of video using Premiere Pro in a remote/hybrid setting
- You'll have experience of lighting, shooting, directing and editing your own films with a limited team
- A good grasp on what content formats work for various platforms and experience in creating video content across multiple platforms
- An understanding of the media landscape as it pertains to video
Creativity- we want to try new and interesting styles of video, so you'll bring some great ideas
Filmmaking skills - you'll need to be able to both film and edit video, plus be happy directing our presenters to get what you want from them

Written skills - you'll need great spelling and grammar to ensure that our content meets expectations
