    Reports directly to the operations manager with primeresponsibility for supporting the day to day operations of Prometheus ComplexCare and/or Prometheus Secure Transport services and any other services asrequired by the company.

    Main duties of the job

    OperationalManagement:

    Ensureservices align with contractual terms, including scope, duration, and pricing.Confirm service authorisations for billing.

    Conductinvestigations into operational and clinical issues, incidents, or complaints.Compile reports with recommendations. Analyse data and KPIs for strategicdecision-making.

    Leadership:

    Supportcomplex or challenging services, handling escalated issues with professionalismand empathy.

    Communicatewith leaders and managers to align goals and strategies. Collaborate withstakeholders to streamline service delivery.

    MentalHealth Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Legal Status Management including DoLS:

    Monitorand provide guidance on patients' legal status under relevant acts. Ensurelawful detention and treatment, providing information to patients, relatives,and staff on rights and safeguards.

    Coordinatewith external agencies and professionals to ensure lawful detention andconveyance.

    Maintainaccurate records of patients' legal status and treatment. Stay updated onchanges in legislation, policy, and practice through training and supervision.Contribute to knowledge and training development in this area.

    Job responsibilities

    Operational Management:

    Operations:

    Take full responsibility andaccountability of Complex Care and/or Secure Transport services as required bythe company.

    Ensure all operational tasks arecarried out efficiently and effectively during the shift.

    Oversee the smooth functioning of allprocesses and procedures within the HUB.

    Address any operational issuespromptly and take necessary actions to resolve them.

    Be part of the on call rota to be oncall as required by the Company

    ServiceContracts:

    Ensure the completion of servicecontracts compliance with terms and conditions.

    Verify that services provided alignwith the defined scope, duration, and pricing.

    Confirm authorisation of services asper contractual agreements to ensure correct billing

    QualityMonitoring:

    Conduct investigations intooperational and clinical issues, incidents, or complaints, gathering relevantdata, analysing findings, and preparing comprehensive reports withrecommendations for improvement or corrective action.

    Compile and analyse operational data,key performance indicators (KPIs), and other relevant metrics to generateinsightful reports for presentation to the senior leadership team, enablinginformed decision-making and strategic planning.

    Utilise monitoring tools to assess thequality and efficiency of service provision.

    Provide constructive feedback to teammembers to enhance performance and patient care.

    Offer coaching sessions to developskills and address areas needing improvement.

    Management:

    Supervise and support a team ofsubstantive and zero-hour frontline workers, providing direction, guidance,training, and feedback to ensure optimal performance and adherence to companypolicies and procedures.

    Ensure adherence to Complex Care andSecure Transport policies, procedures, and protocols.

    Conduct service visits to all new andongoing services to ensure good practice and quality of care delivery.

    Ensure team compliance with clinicalguidelines and best practices and conduct audits and remedial actions required.

    Address any deviations fromestablished standards and provide guidance for correction.

    Ensure shifts are schedule andallocate tasks efficiently to ensure optimal coverage of new and ongoingservices.

    Monitor attendance and address anyissues or gaps promptly.

    Generate and analyse performancereports to identify trends and areas for improvement.

    Leadership

    Supportand Guidance:

    Offer assistance to team membersdealing with complex or challenging services.

    Handle escalated issues/concerns andcomplaints with professionalism and empathy.

    Serve as a resource for the team,providing guidance and solutions as needed.

    StakeholdersManagement:

    Maintain open communication with otherleaders and managers to ensure alignment of goals and strategies.

    Collaborate with stakeholders tostreamline service delivery and resolve issues efficiently.

    Foster a culture of collaboration andteamwork across departments.

    Improvementand Innovation:

    Proactively seek out areas forimprovement in Complex Care and Secure Transport processes and systems.

    Implement innovative solutions toenhance efficiency and effectiveness.

    Encourage team members to contributeideas and participate in improvement initiatives.

    Trainingand Development:

    Organise regular team meetings todisseminate information, updates, and feedback.

    Provide training sessions to enhanceskills and knowledge relevant to the job.

    Cultivate a positive and collaborativeteam culture that promotes learning and growth.

    Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Actand Legal Status Management including DoLS

    Monitor, review, provide guidance anddirection as to the legal status of patients who are subject to the MentalHealth Act 1983, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards(DoLS - new legislation pending) and ensure that they are detained or treatedin accordance with the law and the code of practice in all new and ongoingservices in Complex Care Secure and Transport

    Provide guidance and information tosupport to patients, relatives, carers, and staff on the rights and safeguardsof the act, such as consent to treatment, appeals, advocacy, and complaints.

    Liaise with external agencies andprofessionals, such as Approved Mental Health Professionals to ensure lawfuldetention and conveyance.

    Maintain accurate and confidentialrecords of the legal status and treatment of patients

    Keep up to date with the changes anddevelopments in the legislation, policy, and practice related to the MentalHealth Act 1983, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards(DoLS - new legislation pending) and the Code of Practice.

    Participate in training andsupervision, and contribute to the development and improvement of the mentalhealth act knowledge and training

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
  • Bsc Nursing or Mental Health Nurse
  • Desirable

  • Previous experience in Mental Health community setting or customer service role
  • Evidence of further development such as an Advanced Degree in Mental Health Nursing or another clinical field, Management or leadership qualification.
  • Skills

    Essential

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint, enabling efficient data analysis, reporting, and presentation creation.
  • Exceptional listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities, facilitating effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear and persuasive articulation of ideas, information, and recommendations.
  • Client-cantered approach with a demonstrated capability in establishing and nurturing strong, enduring client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Mental Health Nurse with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration OR proven experience in operations management and leadership, preferably gained in ambulance services, mental health/acute sector or logistics
  • Experience in managing diverse teams and developing strong working relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a clinical environment.
