Join us as a Franchise Business Partner

  • In this key role, you'll be supporting the interface between Treasury and the business franchise/legal entities for balance sheet management and strategy
  • Undertake a critical role in the assessment of relevant franchise / legal entity balance sheets, capital, liquidity and funding positions and risks. And drive the implementation of optimal balance sheet decisions across those franchises and legal entities,in line with the organisation's policies, procedures and regulatory requirements

What you'll do

As a Franchise Business Partner, you'll be using analysis to identify measures to improve profitability and reduce risk through active management of the balance sheet.

You'll be engaging with Treasury and business stakeholders to communicate the range of disciplinesand advisory capabilities to optimise value for the business, legal entities and the bank.

We'll look to you to understand and implement methodologies and frameworks to make sure that interest rate, liquidity, funding, capital and currency risks are adequately recognised in product reward mechanisms.


You'll also be:

  • Supporting the business in managing a balance sheet that is resilient to economic and regulatory pressures and in line with the bank's strategy
  • Acting as the strategic advisory partner to the business on all treasury and balance sheet matters
  • Making sure that structural risk in the business balance sheet are identified, measured and reported in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Maintaining relationships with stakeholders across businesses to articulate treasury related issues, themes and challenges
  • Use analysis to identify and propose means to manage the entity's scarce balance sheet resources
  • Contribute towards product design and the assessment of product risks

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you'll need a c omprehensive Treasury and / or Banking experience, with good risk management and general banking product knowledge paired with the ability to work under pressure, prioritise and adhere to deadlines.

You'll also needstrong interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to work well across different teams and levels of seniority.

A good understanding of Banking Regulation, in particular Balance Sheet Management frameworks.
Previous experience of Balance Sheet Management (ALM, FTP, Capital, Liquidity) and/or treasury management would be advantageous.

In addition, you'll need:

  • Good commercial awareness
  • The ability to project manage or support adhoc project work
  • Good computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel and Access
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically
  • The ability to handle change in dynamic environment
