Assistant Accountant
Location - Greater Manchester
Salary - £26,000 to £30,000
Simpson Judge are working with an education company, based in Greater Manchester. This is a permanent opportunity with a well-established company.

Responsibilities include:

To correctly account for all capital assets
Ensuring that the asset register is appropriately maintained in accordance with financial regulations and audit requirements.
Responsible for preparing the monthly depreciation report
To provide management information to be used in the 3 year financial forecast
Liaise with both internal & external auditors in respect of all matters regarding fixed assets.
To contribute to the preparation of year end returns & Annual statements with regard to fixed

assets, e.g. Finance Record.

Ensure accountable cost centre financials are correct through production of specific month end accruals, prepayments and adjustments (income and costs), processing in line with the chart of accounts and reviewing actual versus budget/forecast to close theaccounts
Provide financial advice to identified budget holders
Working closely with Business Unit Management on budget production, monitoring and management, including; forecasting; ensuring completeness of income and assurance of revenue recognition; providing clear financial information to budget holders
