Job Description:


Skipton Building Society has an exciting opportunity to join our Reward and Governance Team working in the newly established role of Reward & Data Specialist.

Working alongside a team of Reward & Pensions professionals the successful applicant will help build and implement our reward and recognition strategy through the design and development of pension, reward and governance data models providing insightful, accurate and timely reward management information across all the Departments and areas of responsibility.

Basic salary for this role is up to £50,000 depending on experience.

Main Responsibilities


This brand new role provides a chance to really hone any existing rewards knowledge you may have and, by working closely with the wider People Division, the opportunity to be part of a team that delivers a reward, recognition and benefits strategy that can really positively impact on colleague engagement.

Working across the full range of Reward and Governance accountabilities you will find yourself involved in:

  • Completion of the annual salary benchmarking surveys, market data validation and analysis.
  • Job Family and Salary Band development.
  • The annual Pay Review, Merit Statement, Bonus Scheme build and delivery through modelling then using Workday.
  • The annual regulatory Gender Pay Gap, Ethnicity Gap and CEO Pay Ratio reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance through the completion of equal pay audits and reviews.
  • Colleague reward, recognition and benefits analysis and benchmarking.
  • Regulatory reports associated with the end of year accounting timetable.
  • Analysis of people governance data to support regulatory reporting such as conduct rule reporting.
  • Assessment of the reward feedback from the My Voice and Best Companies surveys, helping to identify areas for further improvement in our approach to reward and recognition.
  • Support the Society's change agenda by acting as SME for any larger scale change that requires reward data analytics.
  • Reward analytics and trend analysis, helping to identify and provide insight to inform future decisions.
  • Deputise for Reward Leads or Reward & Benefits Manager where required.

To be successful you will be a highly analytical, data driven individual who has worked within a role where you have drawn conclusions or made recommendations based on data insights.

You will have excellent planning and organisation skills and experience of keeping a critical project on track and delivered on time.

Experience of working in an HR environment would be a distinct advantage and advanced MS Excel skills and Workday knowledge are essential.

Being logical, numerate with a meticulous and high level of attention to detail is also considered essential.

A flexible attitude to work would be expected and reciprocated as the workloads can fluctuate throughout the year
