Financial Accountant, Huntingdon (hybrid)

£44,000 - £48,000


An established company with exciting growth plans in Huntingdon are looking to add a Financial Accountant to their team on a permanent basis.


You will report directly to the Financial Controller who is an experienced finance leader and will offer the necessary support as well as allowing you autonomy to shape the role.


  • Review Financial Statements and Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with statutory audit/tax inspection requests
  • Review accounting policies and assist with improvements
  • Checking of tax and VAT filings
  • Revenue recognition policy and auditing subsidiaries
  • Review monthly cash flow from entities and make recommendations for intercompany payments
  • Manage employee expense system
  • Review of commission plan calculations, obtaining appropriate approvals
  • Assist in audit and reporting of company assets including Fixed Assets and Inventory
  • Review contracts and engagements providing feedback and obtaining necessary approval
  • Advising on cost centre accounting.
  • Reviewing and reporting AR Provision and Inventory Provision
The nature of this position means it will suit a qualified (ACA OR ACCA) Accountant with an audit background. You will have strong IT and systems skills, a good knowledge of Excel and excellent communication skills.

On offer is a competitive salary, flexibility to work remotely when required and a 35 hour working week.
