The Role


The primary purpose of this role is to support the Rulemaking Lead, from a technical administrative perspective, for all Rulemaking activity.


The role will also provide support to other technical administrative tasks that are related to Rulemaking and to contribute to the creation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Rulemaking processes, procedures, work instructions and record keeping.


Accountabilities include:

  • Understand, clarify and make recommendations for quality, joined up CAA responses on all key rulemaking activity
  • Understand and communicate, internal and external technical comments, on all rulemaking activity
  • Manage on behalf of the Rulemaking Lead, rulemaking related meetings, agendas, terms of reference, records, taking notes, actions and decisions and producing minutes
  • Support and advise on the administration of Rulemaking Mandates
  • Manage the administration of the UK Rulemaking Programme

About You
You have experience in an Aviation Technical Administration role.

An excellent communicator, both written and verbal as you will be interacting with a variety of people at all levels.

Highly organised and methodical in your approach to work with a keen eye for detail as this role is high profile and high priority.

You will also be confident working with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel in order to maximise the technology available to deliver tasks.

For many appointments within the CAA, these roles require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. For these roles the post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance.
