Milk Education is working in partnership with a supportive and high achieving, primary school in Chorlton, who are looking to recruit a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to work in their Reception class.

This role will be Monday-Friday 08:30-16:00 startingIn January 2023 with the possibility of a permanent contract after successfully completing a three month probationary period.

This Teaching Assistant position could also lend itself well to someone who has been working in a private day nursery or has recently completed a degree in Early Years and Childhood Studies and is looking to transition into primary education.

Job Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:

To work under the direction of the teacher in small groups and on a one-to-one basis
Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with the lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils' work
Work closely with the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals, targets/appropriate to EYFS
Assist with the planning of learning activities
Monitor pupil's responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed
Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils' achievement, progress, problems etc
Level 3 CACHE or equivalent childcare qualification i.e, Childhood Degree
Have fantastic working knowledge of the Early Years Curriculum and be familiar with the seven areas of development
Have full availability from January 2023
