    Community Staff Nurse

    The Arun Community PCN Team is looking for registered nurses to join the team.

    We now have a Band 5 Community Staff Nurse vacancies.

    If you are newly registered or looking for a new challenge, Community Nursing offers a great opportunity to specialise in a highly diverse and rewarding field.

    Community nursing offers the applicants many specialties in one role.

    We consider both Part time and Full time hours as Band 5 Community Staff Nurse.

    1 in 4 weekends currently.

    Any successful applicants will have an individual induction plan to ease into this community environment


    Our Team consists of Administrators to support the Nursing Team, a number of Health Care Assistants, A Nursing Associate, Community Staff Nurses ranging from part time and full time.

    We also have Qualified District Nurse and Community Sisters who obtained modules within community nursing, two Clinical Nurse Leads and a Team Lead.

    The main aspects of the role are Diabetic Management, Wound Management including Leg Ulcers diagnosis and treatment, Palliative care working very closely with the Hospice and GP's, Bladder and Bowel care including urethral and supra pubic catheters and other continence needs.


    For all Registered staff in time to support junior staff and all learners, Trainee Nurse Associate, Nursing Students, Specialist Community Practitioner for example.


    As well as the traditional type of patients as stated above, we work in partnership with the local health and social providers covering a specific group of people under Frailty.

    This group includes Severely Frail (score based), Dementia diagnosis, End of Life, Complex Conditions and Care Home Patients.
    We are the main provider of NHS community services across East and West Sussex. 3 million providing essential medical, nursing, and therapeutic care to adults and children.

    A clear Understanding of the Community Nursing Role
    Be able to recognise and promote Independence and Choice in undertaking Patient Care
    Good Knowledge of Clinical Governance, Clinical Audit, Clinical Supervision and NMC Professional Code of Conduct
    Knowledge of current SCFT Policies informing Community Health and Social Care Services
    Medicine Management and Administration, Palliative/End of Life Care including pain Management and Syringe Driver Use.
    Holder of a valid UK license, with availability of a car for work purposes
