Description

Apprentice Production Operative

Location:
Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent

Hours of Work: 39 hours per week; 8.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00am - 3.00pm Friday.

After apprenticeship completion, hours of work will be rotational shifts (6am-2pm Mon-Thurs, 6am-1pm Fri and 2pm-10pm Mon-Thurs, 1pm-8pm Fri).


Your areas of responsibility:


During the training programme, employees will be trained and gain experience in the set up and operation of all machinery.


Once trained the role will involve:

  • Operation of filling machines.
  • Operating container washing equipment.
  • Setting up machinery and involvement in product changeovers.
  • Production packaging.
  • Operating counterbalance forklift trucks.
  • Operating floor cleaning equipment.
  • Use of SAP system.
  • Involvement in CI and 6S initiatives.

  • Interest in working in a fast paced, automated manufacturing plant.
  • Computer literate
  • Quality focused with impeccable attention to detail
  • Good timekeeping, communication, and reliability skills with a flexible working attitude.
