Our client is the UK's leading innovation funding consultancy, specialising in R&D Tax Credits, Grants, Video Game Tax Relief and Advanced Funding.

As Tax Assistant, your role will be harnessing data to make the service smarter, faster, and more efficient.

You'll be working directly with an experienced delivery team, deepening your knowledge of business, government and technology as you grow.

You will also be a proactive force for change; suggesting and implementing improvements to the way we acquire, manage private documentation and implement data.


Key Responsibilities

  • Generate invoices for Tax Credit service
  • Liaise with HMRC regarding Tax Credit claims and investigate claim discrepancies
  • Analyse and process client data in preparation Tax Credit claims
  • Antimoneylaundering checks
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to support in providing excellent client experience
  • Compile client confirmation statements from Companies House
  • Assist with data entry tasks where required

Key Requirements

  • Strong talent in identifying small mistakes, a keen eye for detail is a must.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets and data processing
  • Up to 2 years' experience in a similar environment
  • Ability to work on own initiative with autonomy to make decisions
  • A proactive can do attitude. And a love for working with numbers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A keen interest in finance, technology and tax credits
  • Ability to be in the office three days a week during your initial threemonth training period
  • Ability to set goals independently
  • Organise and take initiative to meet goals and remove blockers
  • Demonstrate good time management accountability and selfmotivation
  • London based
The salary will be £27,000, depending on experience, and there are a long list of benefits including:
