We are proud to be partnering with a national membership organisation to find a content officer for their Neon project.


Neon is a website for teachers to help them find inspiring activities and careers resources to share with the young people they work with.

It was developed by the organisation on behalf of the Engineering sector and since it launched 2 years ago it has hadover 100k users visit the site and over 4000 teachers have registered for a user account.

We currently work with nearly 100 activity providers and currently host over 130 activities, from Drone Coding to inspiring stories from Women in Engineering.

Feedbackfrom both teachers and activity providers is excellent, one teacher recently told us that Neon is ' one of the best overall careers resources for an industry that I have used.

We are seeking a temp to cover for our Neon Content Manager while they are on sabbatical between 23rd January and April 14th 2023.

You will be joining a team who are passionate about making a change to Young people's career aspirations and provide brilliantsupport for teachers via the Neon website.

You will also be supporting our inspiring outreach programmes - Energy Quest and the Robotics Challenge - helping us find out what works and enabling us to make them even better.


Neon is a dynamic platform and needs a flow of engaging, exciting content to keep it relevant for teachers and young people.

We are looking for someone who enjoys building and maintaining great relationships with people as the role involves working closelywith our third-party activity providers who list their content on Neon.

You will collaborate with them to assess their content for suitability against our set of Quality Standards, signposting them to support if changes are needed, before uploading their contentto the platform.


A central part of your role will include reaching out to organisations to talk to them about the benefits of listing their content on the site and introducing them to another of our products - the Tomorrows Engineers Code.

The Code is a community of 250organisations who are as passionate as we are about increasing the number and diversity of young people who enter engineering by sharing good practice and supporting each other to do ensure the activities they provide are as inclusive, inspiring, and impactfulas they can be.

The role will report into the head of Neon.

It is based at the EngineeringUK offices at 10 Lower Thames Street, London EC3R 6EN with occasional travel in the UK.

We believe that hybrid working has many benefits and are pleased to offer flexible working witha baseline of 2 days a week in the office, and core hours of 10am to 4pm.
