Overview:
***The Operations Controller serves as the frontline to our business in ensuring optimisation of schedule through providing helicopter charter solutions to industry professionals and Flexjet Helicopters Owners. The OC plays an integral part in the planning process of their travel and works closely with several departments to create every client experience and is responsible for establishing, building and maintaining long-term relationships. Overall, the OC is responsible for providing world-class service and ensuring that schedules are fully optimised.

Established in 2009, Flexjet Helicopters is one of the UK's leading helicopter charter companies, serving the UK and beyond with its fleet of AW109 and AW169 helicopters based in the South of England, the Midlands and the Channel Islands.

The company has recently become part of the OneSky group, and will be operating alongside Flexjet, the Group's market-leading private jet provider.

As a result Flexjet Helicopters is continuing its growth in the charter market and recruiting accordingly, looking further ahead the company is strongly positioning for its forthcoming evolution in electric aviation.


Responsibilities:


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage aircraft availability and liaise with other departments as required
  • Manage and optimise schedule within regulations, customer service and business objectives
  • Manage handling and all services coordination related to a flight such as overfly permits and liaison with various Aviation Authorities
  • Work closely with the sales and client services team on technical matters, trip support, and Flight Suitability Checks
  • Provide out of hours coverage for charter sales including quoting and trip management
  • Flight Planning according to Operations Manual, procedures and regulations, considering safety amongst all
  • Flight following/in flight assistance of flight crews, including analysing and evaluating meteorological conditions, aeronautical charts, ATS monitoring and route optimisation
  • Evaluation and initiation of ERP in accordance with company policy
  • Assist with crew planning in line with EASA/CAA FTL regulation
  • Coordinate with the maintenance department concerning scheduled and unscheduled MX events and MEL restrictions on aircraft
  • Monitor and optimise the schedule as new demand is received and/or aircraft availability changes, maximising gross margin from inhouse and affiliate operation
  • Provide a high standard of customer service from enquiry to postflight followup
  • Oversee confirmation of dayof operations for customer flights, tracking flight status, ground transport etc.
  • Continual liaison and successful communication with both internal and external clients/suppliers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and industry professionals/suppliers
  • Support business needs as requested by Senior Managers
  • Liaise with client services team on trip details to ensure flight execution
  • Problemsolve for required aircraft changes due to irregular operations with a focus on customer needs and cost ramifications, such as unscheduled maintenance and cancellations
  • Maximisation and optimisation of the Fleet schedule via the charter market where necessary

Qualifications:

EDUCA

TION & EXPERIENCE

  • BA degree or equivalent from twoyear college or technical school in a service and/or hospitality field is preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Experience working in a flight operations control centre in a rotary operation is essential.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
  • Knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess the legal ability to work in the United Kingdom
  • Have strong attention to detail
  • The ability to work in a team atmosphere, and manage a flexible schedule
  • The Operations Controller will be required to demonstrate knowledge of Flexjet Helicopters's products and programs and have the ability to interpret contract information as it pertains to the specific customer
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal/written/computer and presentation skills are necessary to perform job at the expected level
