Club Excel are a leading provider in the multi-activity camps industry in Hertfordshire and provide exciting holiday experiences for children.

With our mix of sports, arts/crafts and dance & drama workshops, we combine a varied fun environment with quality childcare.


To help us provide these inspiring experiences, we're currently looking for performing arts coaches to help prepare fun and varied dance routines and drama sessions with primary school-aged children on a day-to-day basis.

The roles available will be at Abbot's Hill School for our Summer Camp.


Job Role:


As a performing arts coach, it will be your responsibility to assist and lead the activities for the children in your group.

You must be up to date with a range of activities used at Club Excel but also have ideas of your own.

You will report any injuries/accidents using the relevant processes as well as escalating any issues you feel are necessary to the Camp Director.

Likewise, you will also need to provide updates about the children's day to staff or to parents who ask.

Not only that, but you will also need to fulfil any registering duties that you have, for example, signing children in and out at the beginning and end of the day.


Main duties include but are not exclusive to:

  • Assist and lead in the preparation and delivery of high-quality activity sessions within the camp.
  • Registering children throughout the day.
  • Ensure all children enjoy themselves and make inclusion a priority.
  • Administering first aid when necessary.
  • Ensure toilet breaks, tuck breaks and lunchtimes are monitored.
  • Meet and greet children and parents on arrival and pickup.
  • Keeping the work environment healthy, safe, and secure.
  • Working within the framework of the club's policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring safe practice within sessions.
  • Dress and act accordingly with Club Excel policies.

_Role is not defined to just these responsibilities as you may need to be flexible and willing to adapt._

Qualifications and Experience:


Essential:


  • Experience in a teaching or coaching environment with primary aged children.
  • You will be required to attend the staff induction and training day to ensure you are up to date with our policies and procedures.

Desirable:


  • Relevant Sports BTEC qualification, A level or Degree.
  • Paediatric First Aid

  • Enthusiasm for the role with a willingness to learn.
  • Confidence and competence in leading a group.
  • Reliable and committed to providing a fun experience for all those who attend.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a variety of scenarios.
  • Comfortable in a challenging environment

Job Type:
Contract


Salary:
£40.00-£90.00 per day
