Club Excel is a Hertfordshire-based children's activity camp operator, looking to add an experienced climbing instructor for a role within our team.

Our camps are in their 22nd year and are now operating over ten separate venues, taking children from ages 3-13 on camp.


Your primary role will be to lead a group on our rock climbing walls, with safety being the primary concern.

We would like you to be a positive, outgoing enthusiast with a drive in helping children conquer our rock climbing walls


What are the key roles?

  • Delivering highquality climbing sessions.
  • Ensuring that activity equipment is checked and maintained according to our strict policies.
  • Making sure that safety is paramount and that the strict rules we have in place are maintained.
  • Create a fun and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Liaise with Operations Manager/Director and help move the Rock Climbing walls to different sites.

What experience are we looking for?

  • Holds a full UK driving license for a minimum of 2 years/ D1+E is desirable.

With an interest in getting or already holding:

  • Rock Climbing Instructor award
  • Pediatric first aid
  • Previous relevant work experience
  • Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of risk management and risk benefit
  • Experience and evidence of working as part of a team
  • Motivated and demonstrates initiative

Job Types:
Part-time, Zero hours contract


Salary:
Up to £95.00 per day


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (required)
