General Operative (Glue Assembler)
Permanent
Monday - Friday / Day Shift (8:00 - 16:30)
£10.42 p/h. Rising to £11.44 p/h in April 2024 for all ages.
Overtime (at 1.5 x hourly pay) available
2 x 15 minute breaks (Paid) & 1 x 30 minute break (Unpaid)
About Us
Peak Converters Ltd are a leading manufacturer in the production of foam and fibre conversion products, based in north Derbyshire.
Job Overview
- Read assembly specifications in both 2D and 3D format.
- Operate a glue gun for glue (non toxic / water based) spray onto foam products.
- Use tape measures and other tools to ensure final assembly product meets quality standards.
- Follow standardised work / job flow diagrams with a high degree of accuracy.
- Work to daily production assembly targets.
- Use computer database to access specifications.
- Perform quality checks and report any quality concerns to supervisor.
- Work effectively as part of a Team.
Skills and Proficiency
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Work well under pressure.
- Good basic Maths skills
- 5S Trained (desirable)
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
