New Directions College is Reading Borough Council's Adult Community Learning and Skills service. This year we're celebrating 65 years of Adult Learning in Reading. We're a small friendly College delivering to over 2000 learners and Apprentices in Reading each year.


Due to planned growth and development at the College, we are looking for a talented and experienced Exams Officer to lead the effective and efficient administration of external examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations and awarding body rules for exams.

About The Role


You will act on behalf of and be the main point of contact for the centre in matters relating to the general administration of awarding body examinations and assessments, including appeals.


Working closely with curriculum teams and key stakeholders (external and internal) you will be responsible to ensure exam administration processes are strictly followed and key deadlines are met.

This is a new and exciting position within the team which is supported by a group of exam invigilators.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work accurately with attention to detail are essential, as is experience of examination procedures.

You will work alongside a team of passionate and highly skilled staff who are dedicated to delivering outstanding education for all.
