Customer Service Representative
Location:
North Cave, Brough, East Yorkshire
Hours of work: 40 hours per week - Mon-Thu / Fri
Salary:
£24,000 - £26,000 (DOE)
Other Benefits:
Equivalent of 32 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), Contributory pension scheme & Life Assurance cover.
Job Overview
The role of the Customer Service Representative is to act as the first point of contact between the customer and the Paneltex.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Working with customer on their demand portal
- Part of the team developing high level forecast for production
- Managing demand from the portal to create production works orders for manufactured parts and orders for bought in items using Sage
- Arranging shipments to customers with warehouse team using Customer portal
- Creating shipping documents for export and invoicing
- Handling customer enquiries around availability dates etc
- Working with quality on handling customer quality issues
- Maintaining price lists with support from the commercial team
- Assisting with stock take as needed
- Dealing with Freight Forwarders, including making and tracking shipments etc.
- Encouraging, collecting and implementing improvement ideas in your area to reduce waste and make your colleagues jobs easier.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven experience in Customer Service Role in an industrial manufacturing background.
- Experience of using Customer portals or EDI
- Effective administration, planning and organisation skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Well organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Excellent Computer skills. MS Office including Excel and Outlook & preference for experience of Sage
- Flexible and selfmotivated, you'll take the initiative and be keen to embrace new opportunities
- Preference for knowledge in Export shipment process.
- Practical with a high attention to detail.
- Problem solving skills.
- Good team player and excellent communicator.
