- Providing consultation to indirectly support the delivery of treatment by others.

- Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, or its equivalent, including eligibility for chartered status with the BPS
- Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Evidence of CPD in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
- Specialist complex psychological assessment and treatment of people with a wide range of mental health problems, of varying severity and complexity
- Relevant experience in service area
- Extensive experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist and evidence of specialist knowledge gained through practice and ongoing training
- Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups and presenting problems including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems
- Representing psychology within MDT setting (clinical and organisational contexts).
- Capacity to exercise careful clinical judgement whilst having the ability to work with and to hold the stress of others in the work setting

Are you an 8A Clinical Psychologist seeking progression? Or an existing 8B Clinical Psychologist ready for a new challenge? We would love for you to come and join us in Suffolk Specialist CAMHS
We're looking for a pro-active, passionate, and motivated 8B Principal Clinical Psychologist to join our Suffolk Specialist CAMHS teams, based in Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds. Our service provides highly specialist mental health treatment for children and young people up to the age of 18 years old.
We are open to discussing full and part-time working hours, and we understand everyone has commitments outside of work, so welcome conversations around flexible working options too.
If you have the drive to provide excellent care, can demonstrate high quality clinical and leadership skills and are willing to go the extra mile to help make a difference to young people's lives then we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job
The role of the 8B Principal Clinical Psychologists within our Specialist CAMHS teams is to provide senior clinical leadership within the specified team, with an expectation that 50% of time is spent involved in direct client work, and 50% of the time is spent on other activities, which may include:
