    Job Overview

    An exciting opportunity has opened up to join our E-Roster Team as a Band 4 Administrator.

    You will be responsible for providing a high-quality administrative function to the eRostering team and be the primary point of contact for users of eRostering systems in the Trust. You will learn how the Trust eRostering systems operate and will handle regular and ad hoc system maintenance, system configuration, and reporting tasks.

    Main Duties of the Job

    The eRostering Administrator position is a fantastic chance to take on a role within a small team that has a significant presence in the Trust.

    The successful eRostering Administrator must have demonstrable experience in:

    • Knowledge of and confidence in utilizing various Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Experience of working with online software systems and databases
    • Experience in a role requiring the ability to prioritize tasks
    • Experience in staff roster systems is beneficial, but full training will be provided.
    • Ability to use initiative and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to collaborate and work effectively within a team

    Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities

    As an eRostering Administrator, your main responsibilities will include:

    • Providing first-line support to system users by addressing queries and issues
    • Referring necessary work to the appropriate member of the eRostering team for additional support when needed
    • Generating regular reports

    Person Specification

    Knowledge

    Essential Criteria

    • Expert knowledge of IT systems and all Microsoft applications

    Desirable Criteria

    • Experience with and training in the Health Roster suite of systems
    • Understanding of NHS structures
    • Experience in IT and systems training within the NHS

    Experience

    Essential Criteria

    • High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in the complete Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
    • Prior relevant experience in HR/Administration or similar
    • Experience producing work that requires high accuracy and attention to detail
    • Prior experience working in the NHS or public sector
    • Team working experience

    Desirable Criteria

    • Customer service environment experience
    • Familiarity with e-roster software
    • Experience with Rostering IT systems

    • Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and perform under pressure
    • Strong organizational skills and the capacity to work effectively under pressure
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to analyze complex data to produce reports
    • Effective record management skills
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

    • Experience in training small and large groups or on a one-on-one basis
