The Company
Since their formation in 1998 our clients have grown to become a well-established service provider to many blue-chip clients within the Retail and Commercial sectors.
They are now looking for a Commercial Gas Engineer to join the team, this is a Field Basedrole to assist in the Reactive Service / Maintenance and Repair of various manufacturer's Commercial boilers / HVAC and Heating systems across the Northwest, predominantly covering Manchester and the surrounding areas and occasionally Nationwide.
The Role
The successful Commercial Gas Engineer will be responsible for reactive and planned works (PPMs) to commercial, industrial, retail, schools, hospitals and office properties over a region.
- Undertake Heating and HVAC maintenance repair works issued through the help desk within set time frames so that the customer experiences minimum down time.
- Undertake Air Conditioning PPM works issued through the help desk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.
- Undertake major and minor repair works and breakdowns.
- Diagnose and report faults on systems and plant effectively to ensure managers can correctly quote remedial works to customer.
- To provide call out response for the client as detailed on the call out rota.
- To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out.
- Review and update site paperwork and electronic records to ensure compliance with contractual, client and ISS requirements.
- Work as a team with other engineers as required.

- CDGA1 Commercial Direct Fired
- CIGA1 Commercial Indirect fired
- ICPN1 Radiant Plaque & Radiant tube heaters
- TPCP1A Test & Purging commercial
- DAH1 Domestic Gas Fired Ducted
- UHW10 Domestic hot water storage systems
- CCN
- CKR1Core domestic gas safety
- CPA1 Performance Analysis for natural gas & LPG
- Preferably PASMA
- Preferably UKATA asbestos
- Preferably CSCS card
- Full clean driving licence an advantage
- Suitable additional skills/experience: Air Conditioning / Mechanical / Electrical knowledge
- Additional Natural Gas Qualifications an advantage
- References
Applications are also invited from experienced air conditioning engineers who ideally also have electrical engineering qualifications, competency and Gas Heating qualifications.
Job Type:
Full-time, Mon to Fri 8am-4.30pm - 8-hour shifts + Call out rota
