Description

We are now assisting with the search for an experienced
Power Control Engineer for a well regarded and established
Energy Company in
Perth.



Responsibilities

  • Coordination of commissioning programs and operational data.
  • Power system analysis of electricity flows.
  • Understanding principles of real and reactive power flow, and voltage.
  • Experience and clear understanding of a safe system of work.
  • Ensuring the provision of appropriate SCADA displays and PSS/E models prior to network changes.
  • In real time, commissioning and switching up to 400kV.

Requirements:


  • A minimum of an HNC in electrical engineering and will ideally have experience as a senior authorised person. (SAP)
  • You will have a relevant background in electrical power system operation.
  • Previous experience working in a control room environment desirable.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to communicate complex issues effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Team player and work well in a knowledge sharing culture.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work in order to achieve results and thrive under pressure.

The Salary on offer will be £53,000 - £62,000 depending on experience
