As External Affairs Officer, one day you'll be writing a media release about innovation helping improve patient care and the next, helping coordinate a visit by stakeholders to a new multi-million-pound building.


You'll play a key supporting part in this varied and interesting communications role - working across both media and public affairs - and will be motivated, have excellent organisational skills, show initiative and are a good team player.

In your role as External Affairs Officer, you'll play an important part in helping people understand the priorities and objectives of Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.


You'll help plan, create and deliver excellent communications focused on our patients, staff and wider communities, as well as developing excellent relationships with partners, stakeholders and media locally, regionally and nationally.


Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is now one of the largest in the country, with a workforce of approximately 15,000 who serve a population of 1.2 million people.
