    Job Description

    We are looking for a Regional Medical Advisor (RMA) often referred to as a Medical Science Liaison to join Bicycle Therapeutics (UK Field based role)

    The Regional Medical Advisor (RMA) is a trusted, field-based scientific and clinical expert who strategically supports the medical objectives of Bicycle Therapeutics and its development programs. The RMA is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing peer-to-peer relationships with various healthcare providers, including oncologists in academic and community practices. The primary role of this individual is to build scientific partnerships with KOLs, Investigators, sub-Investigators and associated staff, Healthcare Professionals, and decision makers through evidence-based and non-promotional scientific exchange activities. The RMA will engage potential referral sites with the objective of driving patient enrollment (when deemed appropriate). Identify barriers to enrollment and work with the clinical team, CRA personnel, and Site personnel (PI, CRC) to resolve issues. Contribute to trial site identification and protocol education as needed. In addition, the RMA is expected to build strong cross-functional relationships, as well as provide meaningful subject-matter expertise, to colleagues in Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, R&D, Patient Advocacy and Commercial, while maintaining full compliance with all relevant company, industry, legal, and regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Global Head of Field Medical.

    • Establish Company as a leader in the treatment of oncologic malignancies with an initial focus in genitourinary cancer.
    • Respond to unsolicited requests and engage in meaningful, peer-to-peer scientific exchange of complex medical and scientific information with the oncology community.
    • Provide internal stakeholders with feedback and insights from interactions and discussions with HCPs.
    • Accurately profile country and define local dynamics related to KOL Mapping, patient diagnosis and referral for treatment.
    • Maintain a high level of clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in therapeutic area, keeping current on the latest medical and scientific developments.
    • Provide educational meeting support at scientific congresses.
    • Present data and conduct balanced peer-to-peer scientific exchange on disease state and protocol to academic institutions, clinical investigators, and other stakeholders in a manner consistent with company policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate on the development and implementation of the scientific communication plan, medical-to-medical materials, and facilitation of research collaborations and collaboration with Clinical Development colleagues on investigator selection, relationship management, and site performance/recruitment.
    • Triage investigator-initiated studies, KOL open research questions, and scientific areas of interest to home office Medical Affairs team for evaluation.
    • Comply with all relevant company, industry, legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Foster and maintain Bicycle's positive and innovative culture.

    Qualifications

    • Advanced degree in healthcare or science-related area of study (e.g., MD, PharmD, Ph.D.) or other life sciences or equivalent with medical/technical background.
    • Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience. Oncology experience is required.
    • Experience of working within the EU, knowledge of the landscape is required
    • Ability to deeply understand and convey emergent scientific information.
    • Experience working with cross-functional in-house and field-based teams
    • Fluent written and spoken communication skills
    • Knowledge of clinical medicine, disease management, and medical research in specific disease states.
    • Strong knowledge of relevant research procedures and government and other ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Demonstrable multitasking, project management, and execution skills.
    • Exemplary interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, and influence.
    • Excellent organizational skills, including efficiency, punctuality, and collaboration in a team environment.
    • Proficiency with technology – computers, video conferencing, key software (e.g., Microsoft Office, CRM tools) for seamless and effortless, high-quality customer experiences.
    • Significant travel in UK & EU - ability to travel up to 60-70% per week, when necessary.
