Description

Are you a passionate and talented Teacher of Design Technology with a Product Design specialism who is looking for a new opportunity to inspire and educate young minds? We are seeking a Teacher of Design Technology to join a school in Southwark, London from January 2024.

This is a fantastic chance to contribute to the growth and development of students' Product Design abilities, within a well-established and supportive Design Technology department.

If you have a strong knowledge of KS3 and KS4 DT curriculum, live within a commutable distance of Camberwell, London, and have a commitment to nurturing creativity and enthusiasm for Product Design, we would love to hear from you.

As a Teacher of Design Technology, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the personal development of the school's students

Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering engaging and dynamic lessons that align with the KS3 and KS4 Design Technology curriculum.
Developing and implementing schemes of work and lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and abilities of the students.
Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies for improvement.
Collaborating with other members of the DT department to develop and enhance the Product Design curriculum and resources.
Building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff, and maintaining effective communication channels.

To be considered for this Design Technology Teacher role, you should meet the following requirements:

Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in a related subject.
Proven experience teaching Design Technology at KS3 and KS4 levels, with a track record of achieving excellent results.
Strong subject knowledge of Product Design
Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that enables all students to thrive.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
