The Department for Social Responsibility and Sustainability are looking for a postgraduate or PhD student to explore the University's emissions associated with software use.

It is estimated that around 60% of the University's carbon emissions come from the goods, services and works we purchase, with software being a significant contributor.

During this project the student will establish whether software does contribute so significantly to the University's emissions and recommend how we can reduce our emissions from software use.
