About the Role


This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Management & User Support Administrator to join Academic Registry at Edge Hill University.

Academic Registry is a central support service that serves to provide high quality administrative systems to facilitate the student journey from enrolment through to reward conferral.

The primary function of the role is to provide administrative support to the Data Management and User Support team. To update and maintain high quality data management relating to the Student Records System (SRS).

With a specific responsibility to support the management of student records, course and module records, ensuring that all outputs from the system are fit for purpose to meet both internal and external requirements.


The role will require the ability to deliver accurate data with attention to detail and to assist in the set-up and maintenance of new course and module data on the SRS following academic validation activity across the University.


To provide support in facilitating institutional business processes through effective development, configuration, and deployment of the Student Records system (SRS) across activity in all Faculties and relevant service areas.

To adopt best practice in relation to using the University's SRS, providing advice, guidance and support in the operation of the system.


The role is varied and requires you to be self-motivated, highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and to be able to work effectively under pressure, to provide and maintain accurate data.

You will work closely with faculties and departments and will provide an excellent and responsive service on behalf of the department.


About You
As Data Management and User Support Administrator you will:

  • Have experience in operating a student record system or similar large database
  • Have the ability to deliver accurate data and excellent attention to detail
  • Have the ability to plan and effectively prioritise a busy workload to defined deadlines
  • Be competent in Microsoft Office
  • Be able to deliver a high standard of work under pressure, whilst ensuring accuracy
  • Have the ability to work effectively on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate excellent negotiation and communication skills
