At Hutchison Catering we are a team of experienced professionals who tailor our catering service provision meeting the bespoke requirements of each school and client that we serve across the UK.

We are currently looking for a talented and proven Cook in the York area. A term time position paid weeks, £10.88 per hour, 10.5 hours per week.

As well as having excellent presentation and communication skills, you will be able to demonstrate a real passion for food and service and possess bags of enthusiasm.

What would we like from our Catering Manager?

Food to you is not just a simple life need, food is all about who you are.

Your focus and desire is to work with the freshest and best ingredients with the ability to be very hands on
You have the ability to work within a team, manage costs, as well as being compliant
You will have experience within a similar role, strong supervisory experience and be financially and commercially astute
Able to demonstrate your analytical approach to problem solving and have the ability to display a real passion for food and customer service

Catering Manager requirements:

Ensure that the catering department achieves the financial targets
Monitor the work of all the staff and carry out appraisals, recognise training needs and potential as appropriate. Have the ability to train and inspire
Hold team meetings on a regular basis to communicate targets, standards required and company
Ensure that customers are given a prompt and efficient service and that their food service and value expectations are consistently exceeded
Be creative and innovative, Be up to date with current food trends
Ensure that all standards and procedures in respect of Hygiene and Safety are established and maintained
Have an understanding and ability to work with Word and Excel.
Be naturally out going and vibrant
Have excellent organisation skills and demonstrate great attention to detail
Have a minimum 1 years kitchen experience in a similar environment
Ideally have Level 3 NVQ, C&G 706/2 or equivalent.

Working Wednesday and Friday - 08:30 to 1:45.
