The Company:


We are pleased to be supporting a successful global manufacturing business in their search for a Warehouse & Logistics Controller to join their successful, growing supply chain team.

Our client has a manufacturing base in the North east as well as a 3PL facility in the Doncaster area, distributing product worldwide.

They are going through a period of investment and change with lots of exciting projects on the way thus necessitating thisnewly created position of Warehouse & Logistics Controller


The Role:


Reporting into the Supply Chain Manager, this role forms part of a newly created team of 4 covering demand planning, warehouse and logistics.

Upcoming projects which this person will be involved in include working with the existing 3PL partner, implementinga new WMS system and working on ecommerce distribution.


Some of the other key responsibilities will include:

  • Daily monitor of site standards, performance and adherence to contractual agreement
  • Review and challenge on daily KPI reports provided by 3PL in line with agreed SLA's and objectives.
  • Provide site with weekly sales and inbound forecasts for manpower planning and review previous week.
  • Support Supply chain team in weekly & monthly reviews with 3PL of SLA's & KPI's
  • Investigate issues and provide feedback internally
  • Ensure Import and Export legal compliance through checks and audits throughout the process.
  • Monitor 3PL in relation to order integrity from place of origin to our customers
  • Mapping of the warehouse stock and reporting of the differences, stock correction (System Based) Lost & Found

The Person:


In terms of the person, we are looking for a proactive, driven individual who is keen to learn and able to work independently.

Some of the additional skills are attributes displayed will be:


  • Applicants must be enthusiastic and self motivated with a strong desire to achieve results
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship builder
  • Previous experience with Import & Export
  • A team player who is able to work independently and has a self starter attitude
  • Commercially astute, numerate and with an appreciation for pricing, costs and profitability
  • Shows initiative and a desire for development
  • Good time management skills
  • Computer literate using Microsoft Packages
  • Full UK driving licence
