- Ensuring the Power Generation and Power Distribution systems are in a reliable condition. Maintaining them, safeguarding the availability and operational condition of the electrical equipment so that production targets can be achieved. Acts as an Authorised Electrical Person under the Electricity & Noise Regulations.
- Ensure switching of LV in accordance with operational procedures and legal requirements.
- Monitors the performance and serviceability of all plant electrical equipment.
- Complete routine maintenance, fault diagnosis, and installation of electrical and electronic equipment defined to standards.
- Maintain electrical drawings and single line diagrams 'as-built' to identify modifications made to the
- equipment.
- Implement a planned maintenance programme, meeting statutory and vendor requirements, ensuring that all work is recorded accurately.
- Maintain comprehensive and detailed handover logs.
- Ensure all electrical supplies are permanently available, including uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), for life support and safety equipment.
- Carry out electrical isolation / de-isolation of plant.
- Carry out assignment of power distribution.
- Co-ordinate with operations personnel for Start-up and Shut-down of electrical equipment.
- Ensure work carried out by contract personnel conforms to statutory regulations and their equipment is safe and suitable for use.
