ICP PROJECT DELIVERY MANAGER

KENT

FULL TIME PERMANENT

Hybrid/Office

£75k ( possibly higher ) + car allowance

8AM-5 PM MONDAY-THURSDAy, 4pm finish on Friday's

This company is a market leader in the electric power transmission industry and an employer of choice for skilled labour.

Championing design, leading edge technology, communication and engagement, the ICP Project Delivery Manager shall have responsibilityfor all appointed project management, team management, client management, and management of key contracts and contractors.

Reporting to the ICP General Manager.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Be responsible for Project Managers and Delivery Team
  • Ensure company processes are being adhered to
  • Monitor project programmes are in line with target dates
  • Plan and run weekly and monthly delivery team meetings
  • Report weekly and monthly back to the ICP General Manager
  • Assist in maintaining profit margins throughout the project lifespan
  • Monitor project delivery levels and service level agreements are kept to a high standard, including internal project folders and Client communications.
  • Attend internal handover meetings and kick off meetings with PMs (ALL)
  • Assist in monthly project forecasts for spending.
  • Monitor material and contractor costs and lead times to advise Estimators of changes.
  • Provide support to PMs during Annual Leave.
  • Liaise with QS team and Tendering Manager monthly to coordinate department needs
  • Allocate new schemes to PMs based on workload
  • Monitor workload to ensure delivery is kept to a high standard
  • Retain general PM duties when required, based on Client and project experience.
  • Develop relationships with new and existing suppliers
  • In tandem with the procurement team review preferred supply arrangements with new and existing suppliers
  • Have a firm understanding of all projects in the ICP department, stages of build, time and cost of completion.
  • Keep good working relationship with Tendering Manager to ensure Estimating is in line with Delivery
  • Promote EHS high standards, promoting Zero Accident Culture and approach in the workplace: adhering to HSE policies and procedures as a priority.
  • Develop suitable Toolbox talks with EHS and be responsible for distribution to the team.
  • Ensure dialogue is kept between Sales team.

ROLE REQUIRMENTS:


  • Electrical Engineering HNC diploma or degree, extensive relevant experience
  • Experience 5 years+ construction/engineering experience, with years as a Project Manager/Engineer working on HV assets
  • ICP Contestable experience
  • High voltage management experience, ideally within distribution and/or generation, transmission, or utilities
  • Experience in acting as single point of contact
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Ability to define and work within a detailed budget
  • Strong commitment to drive key target dates
  • Team management and development
  • Strong engineering/technical leadership
  • Flexibility and exceptional communication skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and perform only evidencebased decision making
  • Ability to identify and manage risk, and prioritise without losing sight of overall plans and priorities
  • Stakeholder, Contract and Team Management.
  • Computer literacy with working knowledge of MS Office. SharePoint experience advantageous.
