The Role:


We are looking for a Venue based, People & ER Specialist with outstanding administrative and communication skills, who is a conceptual thinker, with superb organizational and time management skills.

The Venue based People & ER specialist will be a field-based position, and their time will split between HR priorities within our 4 venues

  • Bank (London), Watford, Lakeside and White City. This position will report to the People & Payroll Manager, with an extended line to the Head of People.


To ensure success, the People & ER specialist should display remarkable conflict management and decision-making skills with a solid understanding of employee relationships, staffing management and legal administration.

This is a full time opportunity based on a 45 hour per week, permanent contract, Monday to Friday.


People & ER Specialist Responsibilities:


Advisory & Administration:


  • The People & ER Specialist will train & Guideline Managers to ensure that associates are onboarded consistently through the correct channels, using the appropriate correspondence.
  • Audit onboarding documentation is completed by actioning audits and advising line managers as required.
  • Create & maintain HR & ER correspondence throughout HR matters (Investigations, disciplinaries etc.)
  • Manage the HR enquiries inbox alongside the People & Payroll Manager
  • Support & guide venue Line Managers with any HRrelated inquiries or requests. (This includes providing the correct documentation and scrips where necessary.)
  • Provide support by guiding & facilitating ER escalation meetings alongside the line manager.
  • Supporting Line Managers to maintain digital and electronic records of employees via the HR system.
  • Supporting Line Managers to ensure that the appropriate compliance and steps are actioned during probationary reviews and appraisals.
  • Assist Line Managers with performance management procedures.
  • Guide Managers to ensure associate compliance records are correct.
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
  • Escalate Payroll enquiries to the People & Payroll Manager.
  • Complete termination paperwork and exit interviews.
  • Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
  • Provide 121 training and support to Line Manager around HR practices when required.
  • Coordinate group training sessions with Line Managers, collaborating with the People & Payroll Manager & Head of People to ensure legal and consistent HR practices are always adhered.

HR Reporting & Audit

  • Monthly ER escalations reporting
  • Right to work monthly audit

Ad-hoc duties

  • Support with talent acquisition events when required in venue.
  • Support with HR based projects alongside the People and Payroll Manager and Head of People.
  • Support with induction & Guest service training

People & ER Specialist
Essential Requirements:

  • CIPD Level 3 minimum
  • 2 years + of experience within a similar role as a HR professional. (Preferably experience & interest in Recruitment & L&D)
  • The ability to multitask and acclimatize to a fastpaced environment.
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills.
  • Ability to create People practice training content to facilitate.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong decisionmaking and problemsolving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions.
