Overview:
Main Purpose of Job:
Ensure that a professional and courteous approach is offered to all customers of the
company and that all procedures and systems are maintained in line with
NSI certification requirements and company procedures.
- Maintenance of fire and security systems to the relevant standards, knowledge across the following disciplines preferable: (Fire Alarm, CCTV, Intruder, Access Control & Door Entry)
- Fault finding and repairs to fire and security systems
- To provide reliable, quality support to our customers
- To have a professional telephone and face to face manner
- Assist customers and regional team with technical issues either on the phone or face to face
- Have a flexible approach to working hours. Out of hours working will be required at times.
- Provide assistance and training to other team members as required
- Ensure you operate in line with the company's Vision, Mission and Values
- Be included on the "On Call Rota"
- Expand knowledge and be open to learning and taking on additional product disciplines across the fire and security portfolio.
Skills, Competencies & Attributes:
Must have a high level of experience of our industry
Excellent technical knowledge at least two of the following core product disciplines
Fire Alarm, PAVA, CCTV, Intruder, Access Control & Door Entry
Have a systematic/logical approach to tasks & problems
Ensure all tasks are carried out quickly & efficiently
Be presentable in person and in vehicle and tools
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Be aware of and responsible for the equipment required to complete the necessary works including emergency van stock.
Understand the need for precise completion of paperwork records of jobs and full use of PDA device.
Have a polite but assertive telephone manner
Good Customer service skills, ability to motivate staff & colleagues and lead by example
Prompt and consistent time keeping
Work proactively within a team environment
Main Tasks of Job
Hours are 08.30 to 17.30 on site. These hours are the minimum requirements for you to carry out your duties.
30 minutes travel time at the start and end of the working day is considered as own time, all other travel is paid at single time rate.
To carry out the installation, commissioning, handover and servicing of the fire alarm and security systems.You will be expected to work within London and the Home Counties, with occasional travel outside of these areas.
Where a Company vehicle will be provided for business use.
You will be issued with a company fuel card and will be expected to keep receipt and a record of your mileage.
You are expected to provide your own hand tools. The company will provide all other plant and test equipment necessary to the role.More jobs from activ8 recruitment
