Warwickshire Wildlife Trust's Sherbourne Valley Project (SVP) supports our ambition to create more space for nature with a financial investment greater than any project in our 50-year history.

The project aims to bring Coventry's river back to the community through a series of iconic restoration projects.

Key Responsibilities:


Lead on the Project Plan for Interpretation.

  • Ensuring that the Sherbourne Valley Project brand and funder recognition is incorporated into all forms of communication and interpretation associated with the project.
  • Managing the Sherbourne Valley Project website and social media channels.
  • Actively engaging the media and link with local/national campaigns to raise the profile of the project.

Project Management:


  • Liaising with project partners and funders to ensure they are kept informed of all planned activity.
  • Working to delegated project budgets and resources and purchase small items; reporting on progress in an accurate and timely manner through 1:1s and expenses.

Management and Development of Volunteers:


  • Providing inspirational leadership to volunteers.
  • Encouraging volunteers to become fully involved with the process of planning, organising and leading elements of the scheme.
  • Undertaking risk assessments for sites and activities and ensure that the Trust's Health and Safety policies are followed.
