Description

HR Advisor, £30761 full time permanent role, Brighton, East Sussex for leading pensions public sector organisation, hybrid working, joining a newly formed team.


You will be providing a high-quality HR advisory and administration service throughout all stages of the employee life cycle and ensuring consistent advice and support is delivered to the business which is aligned with their policies and procedures.


Duties involve:

  • Provide prompt and accurate responses to all internal and external customer queries ensuring customer service levels are maintained and solutions to issues are resolved appropriately
  • Provide a high quality and accurate HR second line support service, managing the process of the employee lifecycle, delivering through high quality process and advice, including (but not limited to) to recruitment, maternity, performance management, sickness and absence management
  • Support colleagues with informal employee relations cases escalating cases and issues where necessary
  • Ensure HR policy, process and practices are consistently delivered to the highest standards
  • Identify continuous and innovative improvement approaches to HR guidance, processes and support
  • Support and act as an escalation point for more junior members of the team

Essential criteria

  • CIPD qualified/part qualified or equivalent experience
  • Experience of providing high quality advice on HR policy and procedure
  • Experience of dealing sensitively and appropriately with confidential information within an HR environment
  • Experience of working with HR databases and systems


The HR Advisor, Brighton, will naturally have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise and strong attention to detail and confidentiality.

Working Monday-Friday 9-5pm with some flexibility, 1-2 days in the office and the rest from home.

Salary is £30761, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, civil service pension, opportunities to progress, enhanced parental leave arrangement and discretionary bonus.
