Salary range:
£25,000-£27,000

The small but growing Procurement Team at Avia Technique are looking for a confident and experienced Purchasing Executive to join their busy team managing a high-volume order book.

Avia Technique are a growing aviation safety company based in Wokingham, Berkshire.


The role will work closely with the Planning & Purchasing team, assisting in the efficient and effective procurement of all goods and Services to assure continuous supply into the maintenance centre to meet customer demand.

The role is required to provide daily administration of purchasing transactions and creation of various operational reports.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Updating the purchasing support reports to determine quantities to be purchased, in collaboration with Planner / Buyer Purchasing Executive.
  • Purchasing (including finding new suppliers, determining terms, negotiating prices) of:
  • Consumables_
  • Bonded stock from OEM's and approved suppliers for repair departments_
  • Engineering department requirements_
  • Followingup on outstanding purchase orders
  • Monitoring delivery dates and update the ERP system_
  • To work in compliance with the MOE, and AS9100 Manuals at all times.
  • Updating operational reports such as TAT report, Sales report, Quotes outstanding on a weekly basis
  • Manage the weekly Critical and Top usage of parts lists
  • Manage the reject and faulty parts from the stores department together with the quality department and finance department.
  • Update part prices with OEM prices and lead times.
  • Work together with Customer Service to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Action monthly vendor performance reports
  • Work with accounts to settle any outstanding invoice issues as well as updating suppliers of any invoice issues that are outstanding.
  • Support other SK AeroSafety entities with regards to the remote Purchasing of parts/consumables as required.
  • To complete any other tasks as delegated by the Supply Chain Manager to suit the needs of the other SK entities.

Skills & Experience Required:


  • Ability to use Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-Motivated
  • Strong prioritisation skills and ability to manage own workload
  • Experience in related industries (automotive, industrial, Supplier Tier 1) highly desirable
