Band - Tenancy Sustainment Officer


Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust has an opportunity for a permanent position of 25 hrs, to join our multi disciplinary team based in Cannock.

You will join a Trust that puts people at the heart of all that we do.


You will work as part of an Integrated Mental Health Team delivering support and guidance to service users regarding their housing provision.

Developing relationships with partners in local authorities and housing associations, working together to improve housing outcomes for patients.

  • You will work within a multi disciplinary team providing specialist tenancy and housing related support.
  • You will work with service users with complex mental health needs, to live independently and remain in their own home if this is suitable for them, or help them finding alternative suitable accommodation
  • You will act as the main point of contact to answer any queries and troubleshoot issues including but not limited to; homelessness, evictions and repair work that have a Health & Safety risk.
  • You will also act as the conduit between MPFT Mental Health services and local authorities.
  • You will assist in the delivery of a high standard of support to service users that have been identified as vulnerable and are unsafe in current accommodation, are at risk of losing their home or may already be homeless. All of which are likely to be having a detrimental impact on an individuals mental health.
  • You will required to accurately record information in line with Trust policies.
  • Working collaboratively is a key feature of this role. With your regular attendance at external meetings such as the vulnerability hub with some working from partner premises to support relationships and effective working.
  • You will be responsible for working in partnership with agencies external to the Trust supporting service users to maintain their independence within their preferred place of residency in the independent and nonstatutory sector.

The Integrated Mental Health teams work as part of a 'neighbourhood' offering place based provision of mental health services in partnership with other local organisations.

Clinicians within the IMHT will offer interventions and treatments which are concordant with NICE guidelines, and allocation within the team will be based on the needs of the service user, matching clinician skills to service user needs.
