£24,150 with OTE of up to £4k

Duration:

Hours: 8am to 6.30pm {8 hours per day on a rota}

To ensure all conference and events bookings from initial contact through to completion are dealt with in a prompt and efficient manner ensuring maximum profitability and client satisfaction

  • Follow business strategies and employing good diary management skills when handling enquiries to maximise occupancy and rooms profitability for accommodation, conference and events, ensuring a good understanding of departmental budgets/targets
  • Dealing with bookings on all private dining events, parties and member's social events along with weddings, golf days, corporate fun days and conferences as business levels require and ensuring the highest level of customer service through this process.
  • Identifying customer's needs, handling efficiently any questions they may have.
  • Provide administrative support within the department ensuring all paperwork is filed correctly and correspondence organised and kept up to date.
  • Carrying out follow up telephone calls during an enquiry stage or after a function or event has taken place.
  • Effectively upselling to our guests. Upgrade bedrooms, menus, conference rooms, team building etc.
  • Preparing weekly function sheets and liaising with all relevant departments on requirements of clients.
  • Preparing of menus, table plans and place cards for all functions as required.
  • To identify and pass on leads / information on new Companies to the Business Development Manager/ Group Director of Sales, assisting when required at point of negotiations
  • Assisting with ideas for in house promotions to maximise revenue and identify need periods.
  • Proactive selling contact by telephone all past clients and visitors. Keeping in contact at all times.
  • Assist and conduct show rounds and client entertaining, representing off site at exhibitions and trade shows.
  • Achieving individual and team budgets and targets set, working closely with the Sales Office Manager.
  • To undertake duties of work outside the normal weekly routine but within the overall scope of the position at the request of your line manager
  • Communicate with internal and external customers in a friendly and courteous manner at all times.
  • To maintain a professional standard of dress and appearance, in line with company standards
  • Maintain a safe, clean and tidy work area
  • To adhere to all statutory requirements regarding fire, health, safety and hygiene.
  • To attend any training sessions as requested and adhere to company policies.
