*Support Worker - Leaving Care**Location: Taunton**Salary: £20,077 to £21,700 (£9.90-£10.70 per hour)

*Plus - £62.64 per sleep-in (working approx. 8 sleep ins per month, an additional £6,000pa)

*More about the role*Our Leaving Care Support Workers support Young People aged 16-21 years who are leaving care, living in the community within their own accommodation who display emotional, behavioural difficulties. You will be assigned a caseload of young adults to support throughout their transition to independence. Our leaving care programme aims to meet the needs of our young people and to guide them towards a positive independent living experience developing life skills along the way. This role predominantly consists of lone working but full support and guidance is at hand from our Team Managers.

*What do you need?

We want people who are naturally caring, flexible and resilient.

Experience and previous qualifications are not necessary but are welcome and will be recognised in your hourly pay rate.

You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins with full-time and part-time hours being available.

*Given the nature of the role you must be able to drive and use your car for business purposes as travel is required. Mileage allowance is paid at 30p per mile throughout your working shift.
