Nurse Assessor - (Fully Home-based)

Starting Salary - £35,000- £36,000 upon completion of training and £37,000 at 1 year service (performance related)

Alongside the above - (+ Bi-Annual 10% incentive bonus - £3,500)**Virtual Training Completed - They have a completely remote on-boarding / training process.

**We are recruiting Registered Nurses (RGN, RMN or RNLD), Paramedics, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to join our leading team of Disability Assessors within their Team
This role is fully recognised by the NMC / HCPC as clinical; so, no further hours will be required to maintain your pin

Overview to Job:

As a disability assessor, you'll be conducting telephone and video PIP consultations.

  • You will be fully trained to gather relevant information regarding the functional impact of a claimant's health condition and provide your medical opinion to produce a consultation report, as well as delivering a professional and compassionate service toclaimants.
  • Analysing and interpreting clinical information and medical evidence and using this material to write a concise, highquality report is a big part of the role. This report is then used as the basis for the DWP to make decisions on a claimant's entitlementto PIP.
  • You will be expected to work to productivity and to highquality standards agreed with the DWP, dealing positively with any feedback received and working proactively to improve your claimant interactions and report writing.
  • Working to ensure that the claimant's experience of the process is firstclass, you will be supported to produce reports that are of a consistently high quality, coherent and medically justified.
  • Some ad hoc responsibilities that you'll undertake relate to team working, service

Essential Person Specification:


  • Postqualification experience in one of the following occupations: Nurse, Physiotherapist, Paramedic, Occupational Therapist.
  • Have an active registration with NMC/HCPC with no restrictions on practice.
  • No previous Disability Assessor experience is required as training is provided. However, it is essential that any applicant is either a qualified Nurse, Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist.
  • Appropriate workspace within the home setting that allows you to successfully complete your role
